Iserlohn is a city in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. An histioric town, with many medieval buildings, it is located in the northern part of the Sauerland, near the Ruhr river. With a population of 96,000, it is the largest city within the Sauerland region. It  offers an attractive lifestyle and leisure opportunities.  Close to the town are forests, Lake Rupen and Seilersee Lake.

Sport is a central part of life in Iserlohn, and it boasts 182 gymnastic and sport clubs with nearly 60 different types of sports on offer, ranging from badminton to ice-hockey, handball, gliding, taekwondo and riding.

An industrial area is on the edge of the town, comprising steel, engineering pharmaceutical and plastics companies
