Kouvola, a city with over 450, is one of the largest provincial cities in Finland. It has a population of approx 90,000.

The stunning nearby Repovesi National Park is dominated by Pine and Birch and abounds with wildlife including bear, deer and various birds. The River Koukunjoki cuts through the park.

There are four nightclubs in Kouvola night/Amarillo at Manski, Tivoli close to the train station, Bar & Club RedMoon near the city library and nightclub Riviera in Hansakeskus. The first two are the most popular.
