Programme profile
In the first year, the biological, chemical and physical aspects of medical education are complemented with more general and humanistic subjects such as “How to be a medical doctor?” and “Death as seen from a biological, social, and cultural perspective”. Students are given early contact with patients.
Practical classes include clinical practice (so-called bedside teaching) - which amounts to over 1,200 hours over the course of the 5-year-long medical programme and 4 weeks of summer internship following each year of studies, amounting to 600 hours in total plus 30 weeks of practical clinical training in year 6. The 4-week-long summer internship after each academic year will be held at healthcare centres selected by the University
There are two semesters of practical clinical training, in Year 6
