Malardalen University is a relatively young university and celebrated its 30th birthday in 2007. In just a few years the University has developed from a regional university of technology into a broad academy and a powerful driving force in the region.
Malardalen University has around 13,000 students.The University is organised around four schools:School of Health, Care and Social Welfare, School of Sustainable Development of Society and Technology, School of Innovation, Design and Engineering and School of Education, Culture and Communication.
The university's study environments have been designed in cooperation with students: they are a pleasant mix of modern and airy buildings and spaces with calm courtyards.

Although the university does not have any apartments of its own, it cooperates closely with the accommodation agencies in Eskilstuna and Vasteras.Rent will be about €320 to €450 per month
