This Thursday, 15th January, at 22.59, applications close for a handful of programmmes in Dutch universities. These programmes have a ‘numerus fxus’ (fixed number of places) and have a selection procedure to fill these places.

This differs from most programmes in the Netherlands where there is no numerus fixus and, therefore they have no need for a selection procedure. If you have the minimum entry requirements, and apply in th right way, then you have the right to a place on the programme.

The following programmes have a numerus fixus selection procedure, and an application deadline of this Thursday:

– all BSc Psychology programmes
– all BSc International Business peogrammes at Research Universities
(but not those at Universities of Applied Sciences)
– the Physiotherapy programmes at Hanze UAS and Amsterdam UAS
– the International Relations programmes at U. Leiden & U. Groningen
BSc Computer Science & BSc Mechanical Enginering atTU Eindhoven
BSc Computer Science & BSc Aeronautical Engineering atTU Delft
BSc Computer Science & BSc Biomedical Sciences at VU Amsterdam
LLB European Law and BSc Brain Science at U. Maastricht
BSc Pharmaceutical Science atU. Utrecht
BSc Economics & Business Economics at U. Amsterdam

Though these are only about 15% of the English-taught programmes on offer, they represent some of the most popular programmes with Irish students.
